Morgan’s sailboat senior session at Blue Springs Marina has got me sentimental for Summer today.
I am always excited about the change of the seasons, the slipping from warm temperatures to cooler and vice versa. But today I am a little sad about the transition. It was such a beautiful Summer we had here in East Tennessee. Almost too hot, if you ask me. But regardless, it was beautiful.
Now as we enter into crisp mornings, sweater weather and SEC football, I unlike the rest of the folks I talk to, am wishing for days on the lake again.
Morgan’s sailboat senior session is just the dose of warmth and nautical yumminess necessary today!
I was so excited when Morgan came to me wanting nautical senior photos. We share a love of all things coastal, so inspiration for this shoot was not difficult to find.
I contacted friends who have a sailboat moored at Blue Springs Marina near Kingston, TN. They readily agreed to take us out on their gorgeous sailboat. And so, with the venue in place, planning began!
Since planning went so well, all that was left to pray for was good weather. You obviously cannot sail without wind and I was hoping for a killer sunset! God provided in both situations and we had the PERFECT evening for a sail.
As the sun dipped towards the horizon, Morgan did a great job of balancing as the sailboat floated out. The sun glimmered off the beautiful water creating the most gorgeous light. I could not have asked for a more perfect subject, evening or sailboat. Thankful for this opportunity to capture Morgan in an element we both love!
I love how this session turned out. So much that I submitted it to the kind folks at Seniorologie. Check out the full feature on Seniorologie!
